Founded in 1990 in Vogtland, Germany, GK Software has become one of the most successful growth stories in the German software industry. In 2023, GK entered into a strategic partnership with the Japanese technology group Fujitsu. Under the partnership, GK and its more than 1,200 employees will remain independent and continue to pursue their entrepreneurial goals. At the same time, the partnership creates significant growth opportunities for both sides, which will be jointly pursued to develop an even more robust ecosystem for unbeatable trading technology that is innovative and sustainable.

Since GK was founded in 1990, we have been empowering retailers to solve process-critical challenges. We have always been committed to system openness, partnership and innovation. This is why we were the first to use the new Java technology in 1997, sought a strategic partnership with SAP in 2001, and launched the first enterprise retail solution from the cloud in 2018. Thanks to the acquisition of GK AIR (formerly prudsys), we are now one of the few companies that can offer its customers proven AI solutions that are used in the market. With Deutsche Fiskal, we are also able to cover the highly complex topic of fiscalization in our solutions quickly and in compliance with the law, significantly accelerating the time-to-market of our customers worldwide.
